How to wear a hat with big hair

The weather is finally starting to cooperate and actually feel like Fall. The days are a little cooler, and there is a nice breeze blowing the leaves off the trees. I cannot say it enough – I ABSOLUTELY love Fall! One of the things I love about fall is the fabulous outfits of course. I especially love all of the cute floppy hats, beanies and trendy accessories to adorn our heads.

I often scroll through fashion magazines and admire the images of the trendy blogger with long flowing hair and a cute hat that makes the fall outfit just fabulous.  Well, my natural hair is not long and flowy – not under any circumstances! lol….. But, it’s totally okay, I love the way God made me.   I do love wearing wigs, weaves and a variety of hairstyles but when it comes to trying to wear a hat – my BIG curly hairstyles are often difficult to manage.

The hats generally don’t fit or they look anything but chic and trendy with a heap of hair peeking out from under the hat.  So, I decided to try to find a way around it.  I was looking through my bathroom and suddenly it hit me – why not use a wig cap to decrease the volume so my hat will fit?

You can purchase a wig cap at your local beauty supply store for less than $2.00, generally, they are around $1.29.  So, if you are sporting big hair this fall – never fear you can try this simple hack to help your hat fit.

Happy Styling!
