October “SHE-RO” Shout Out

Hello Lovelies!

I am so excited to present the October edition of the  SHE-RO Shout Out.  It is such a blessing for me to know so many phenomenal women and share some of their amazing stories with you.  The Lord gave me this idea as a way to recognize some of these women and create a community  where we can learn and gain inspiration from one another. This month I am recognizing three different groups of women and I hope you enjoy this month’s She-Ro Shout Out!

Let’s hear it for:

Breast Cancer Survivors

Breast Cancer Ribbon
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This first shout-out goes to all of the beautiful women who have survived their battles with breast cancer. I personally know many women who have been diagnosed with various types of breast cancer and have come out victorious. The strength and resolve of these women to conquer cancer should be an inspiration to all of us. They are shining examples of how to persevere in the midst of life threatening adversity. My mother is one of those amazing women who survived breast cancer and she is doing wonderful by the Grace of God. To all of my lovelies, please schedule your mammograms, do your monthly self-exams and be diligent about taking care of your body. The evidence and benefits of early detection are overwhelming – DO NOT NEGLECT YOUR FEMININE HEALTH!

Single Mothers of the World- I salute you!

Lady Soldier

This next group of women are absolutely some of the strongest, most curageous women that I know.  Recently, my husband was out of town for about 4 days, working in the ministry and I was at home with our girls.  Usually he travels on the weekends but this time he was gone during the week. Can I just say…..OH EM GEE!!!!!!!! I had to take them to school, pick them up from school, answer all the homework questions and this was in addition to going to work and all of the other ten thousand things that I had to do on a daily basis.  By the time my husband came home, I was worn out! I really learned to appreciate my husband in a whole new way.  So to all of you incredible, hard working, beautiful single mothers we thank God for you and you are an inspiration to us all! (Special love to my mother-in law- Carolyn Russell and to my two beautiful sister-in laws – Amy and Sara Melissa Russell)
